About John Carter
John Carter is a Senior Wellness Editor at 100xHealth, where he shares his hard-earned insights on living a healthier, more vibrant life. Growing up as the oldest of four kids in the suburbs of Denver, John learned early on the value of staying active—he spent summers helping his dad with backyard construction projects and winters playing hockey on frozen ponds. That love for movement led him to earn his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Colorado State University, followed by a Health Coaching Certification that deepened his understanding of nutrition and behavioral change.
But John’s journey wasn’t always picture-perfect. In his early 30s, he found himself juggling long hours at a corporate job, frequent business travel, and the demands of being a new dad to twin boys. When stress took a serious toll on his health—manifesting as chronic fatigue, digestive issues, and skyrocketing blood pressure—John decided it was time to make a change. He applied everything he had studied about holistic wellness to his own life, seeing firsthand how small, consistent shifts can create massive results.
These days, John’s mission is to help busy professionals and parents find realistic strategies for improving their well-being—no extreme diets, no grueling workout marathons, just sustainable changes that add up over time. When he’s not writing or coaching, you can find him experimenting with healthy dessert recipes in his kitchen, exploring Colorado hiking trails with his family (including their rescue dog, Bella), or recharging with a good sci-fi novel.
